Built in 1964, Engine co. 10 is located at 1900 E. Mountain rd. Engine co. 10 responds to all of East Mountain and parts of upper South Side for first alarm assignments. On a second alarm it will respond to South Side, Minooka, the Hill Section and parts of Central City. Engine co. 10 has always been located where it is today and was created by the recommendation of Pennsylvania Economy League. The Erie RR had a crossing on E. Mountain rd. right after the River st. bridge. At times the long freight trains would prevent access to East Mountain. Engine 10 is a 1990 Sutphen Pumper with a 1500 GPM pump and a 750 gallon booster tank. Engine co. 10 has three Firefighters assigned to it, but usually is staffed with only two.
