On Saturday April 12, 2008 the Local 60 Auxiliary and WNEP hosted the FIREHOUSE CHILI CHALLENGE. The event was sponsored by the Scranton Fire Fighters IAFF Local 60, Local 60 Auxiliary, WNEP and Froggy 101.

All proceeds benefit the Operation Save A Life Program. WNEP's Operation Save A Life Program provides free smoke alarms to families through their local Fire Departments. This year Oprah's Big Give donated $10,000 to WNEP and WNEP needed to make that number grow. They along with Local 60 Auxiliary decided on a Firehouse Chili Challenge to raise funds. A great time was had by all that attended.
