On the evening of April 4, 2008 a fundraiser was held at the Scranton High School Gymnasium featuring the Scranton Fire Dept. vs the Scranton Police Dept.  The event was organized by Junior City Council President  Doug Miller with the hopes of raising funds to aide in the completion of a Firefighter / Police Memorial.  This memorial will honor members of  Scranton Fire and Police who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

This game was held in honor of Capt. Jim Robeson whose family was in attendance. Jim's son Ryan played for the firefighters.

The Captain for the firefighters was Dave Dolphin and for the police Joe Kearney. 

The final score - Scranton Fire 63 Scranton Police 50
