A Victim Pulled From a Home at an Early Morning Fire in Southside 8/20/2016 (PHOTOS)

On Saturday morning on August 20, 2016 around 1:30 am a fire was reported at 829 Hickory St. Engine Co. 4, Engine Co. 2, Truck Co. 2, Rescue Co. 1 and Car 21 were dispatched. Car 21 arrived on scene and he reported a fully involved house fire, he requested the SRN which added Engine Co. 10 and Engine Co. 7 to the scene. Engine 2 established a water supply to Engine 4 while each company set about their respective assignments. During the early stages of the fire a victim was found inside and removed from the burning home into the hands of EMS on scene. Fire Inspector #1 was called to the scene and two off duty companies from B- Shift were recalled to staff spare apparatus. C- shift crews operated until dawn and by cross shift time at 7 am all companies were back in service.
