Warehouse Fire 4/4/2016 (PHOTOS)

On April 4, 2016 at 5:45 pm a fire was reported at 100 W. Poplar St. Engine Co. 4, Engine Co. 8, Rescue Co. 1, Truck Co. 2 and Car 21 were dispatched. First arriving companies found a one story warehouse with smoke coming from it and the sprinkler system activated. The Assistant Chief activate the SRN which added Engine Co. 7 and Engine Co. 10 to the call. A -Shift crews stretched a 1 3/4" into the building to find the fire which was trapped in the roof, Truck Co. 2 would then be sent to work on the roof to access the flames. Off duty B-shift firefighters were recalled to staff spare apparatus for the duration of the incident. A Fire Inspector was called to the scene and by 7:53 pm all companies were back in service.
