On November 30, 2008 members of the Scranton Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  volunteered their time to play in the annual Guns and Hoses football game.  The game was held to raise money for the Scranton Area EOTC's Christmas Toy Drive and took place at the Riverfront Sports Complex.  It was a great game and both sides had a good turnout for the event, in the end the firefighters were victorious winning 20-8.
